The new-account credit, and why it needs no code

Registration credit in four numbers

Four figures worth carrying into your first order. None of them is an amount, because the amount is campaign-dependent and any site that prints one is printing a guess.

the credit attaches at registration
1Place it becomes visible

This page deliberately prints no discount figure. A credit that moves with campaigns cannot be quoted honestly, and the number that matters is the one you read on your own summary.

The cart hides the credit — why, and what to do

This is the single most expensive misunderstanding in the whole coupon topic, so it gets its own page section.

What a first-time buyer concludes

  • The credit never existed; the banner was bait.
  • The code they were given was fake.
  • The agent charges a hidden fee that eats the credit.
  • Their account is broken and support should fix it.

What is actually happening

  • The basket and the bill are different screens; credit is applied at the bill.
  • No code was ever involved, so a code was never going to work.
  • Nothing is eaten: the credit simply has not been applied yet at that stage.
  • The account is fine; the observation point was wrong.

The fix takes two minutes: put one cheap item in the basket, walk to the summary, and read the totals block. If the credit is active for your account it will show there. If it does not, you have learned something real before committing an order. The verification page covers the full five-step sequence.

The column that matters most is "how to confirm". Three of the four are confirmed the same way, which is the point: one screen settles nearly every coupon question a shopper has.

New-account credit questions

The four questions that come up once someone realises the cart was the wrong place to look.

Will the credit show up if I never place an order?
Usually not, because the summary screen is part of the order flow rather than the account dashboard. That is exactly why the test costs one cheap item in a basket rather than a purchase. You can abandon the order afterwards; nothing is charged until you pay.
Does the credit expire if I register and wait?
Some windows are time-limited from registration rather than from first order. If you registered to hold a credit and then waited a month, re-check the summary before assuming it is still there — and if you are not ready to buy, registering early only helps when the terms are not time-boxed, which is the exception rather than the rule.
Is the credit bigger if I register through a particular link?
Some agent links carry an invitation parameter that the index records, and invitation-linked registrations are sometimes attached to a campaign. We cannot promise an amount, and a page that promises one is guessing. What we can say is that registering through this site's link costs you nothing extra and funds the pages you are reading — the mechanism is set out on the disclosure page.
Can I use the credit on the shipping fee instead of the item?
Sometimes, and it is worth checking, because applying a credit to shipping is usually better value on a small order. The order summary is again the place to look: the totals block shows where the deduction landed, and the line it appears on tells you what it can be spent against.

Confirm it on your own summary, not on our word

The credit is the one discount nobody has to hunt for. Put a single cheap item from the index in a basket and walk to the summary; the totals block settles the question in two minutes.
